A conductive rubber silicone cable grommet should be assessed after the surrounding enclosure is fully assembled. Fastening a cover or bracket can change the grommet's compression and the position of its contact surfaces. The required electrical function therefore needs evaluation in the final mounting condition as well as during initial fit development.
Custom dimensions, profiles and material options allow the part to be matched to the cable entry. Define the intended contact path and keep it distinct from areas that require clearance. The selected conductive formulation should be evaluated for the actual electrical requirement and environmental exposure.
Check the mechanical fit before and after the nearest cable support is secured. Sideways tension may disturb a contact surface even when the cable remains inside the bore. During service, examine the panel seat and contact regions for contamination or damage, and preserve the intended compound when replacing the part. A dimensionally similar nonconductive version should not be substituted simply because it fits the same opening. Any change in surrounding finish or mounting pressure should also prompt a review of the contact arrangement.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Sideways tension may disturb a contact surface even when the cable remains inside the bore. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
