Small electrical silicone rubber grommets provide a protective passage at compact wiring openings. The bore should suit the finished wire jacket and the intended assembly method. A small wire can be difficult to guide through a tight passage without bending it or turning the rubber lip inward.
Custom dimensions and color options allow the grommet to match the panel and wiring layout. Consider whether the wire is terminated before installation and whether the end can pass through without catching. The retaining feature needs its own fit to the panel so threading the wire does not pull the grommet out.
Support the rubber during assembly and inspect the passage afterward for folding or cuts. Check the wire route before securing it, leaving the intended freedom near the opening rather than a sharp bend at the exit. Select the silicone formulation for the exposure and any required electrical properties in the finished assembly. During maintenance, avoid using a sharp probe alongside the wire to reposition the part, since damage to a small jacket can be difficult to see.
