Match the attachment and installation method
HNBR rubber solid plugs can be custom molded for closure applications, including medical component caps. The 4.5 mm designation should be related to the required working dimension before selecting the complete profile. Body depth, contact contour and accessible exterior still need to match the mating component.
For a small closure, consider how the part is handled and checked during assembly. It should reach its intended seat without disappearing into an inaccessible recess. Inspect the mating edge so a burr or particle does not damage the rubber during insertion.
Choose the finished HNBR formulation for the actual contact and processing conditions. Medical suitability belongs to the complete component and intended use, rather than being established by a material name or nominal size. Keep variants separated by geometry and formulation during handling. Before fitting, examine the contact region for damage or contamination. A plug that has been distorted during insertion should be replaced or its fit corrected instead of being pushed deeper to conceal the affected area.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Body depth, contact contour and accessible exterior still need to match the mating component. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
