Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Silicone Plugs intended for chemically exposed openings should be selected for the actual substance, concentration, temperature and contact duration. The plug body may encounter different conditions at its exposed face and within the sealing region. Residue held inside a recess can remain against the rubber longer than the visible surface suggests.
ETOL customizes structure, dimensions, hardness and color. Develop the fit using the chosen compound, since a material change can alter how the plug inserts and remains located. Evaluate the part after representative exposure and check for changes in size, surface condition and removal behavior.
Clean the receiving opening using an appropriate method before refitting. A swollen plug should not be forced back into the same seat, and a hardened contact surface should be assessed before reuse. The surrounding component also needs to tolerate the exposure; a rubber closure cannot correct deterioration of the mating surface. Inspect the contact area during maintenance and address recurring deposits or damage that may indicate the closure geometry is retaining unwanted material.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Silicone Plugs intended for chemically exposed openings should be selected for the actual substance, concentration, temperature and contact duration. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
