A Silicone Plug Hole Stopper can be customized for a food related closure where the opening geometry and cleaning routine need a specific fit. The silicone formulation must be selected for the intended contact conditions, including the food or liquid involved, temperature and duration of use. The complete application determines the relevant suitability requirements.
The plug's structure, dimensions, hardness and color can be developed around the opening. Consider how much of the body remains accessible and whether the contact surface can be cleaned without leaving residue in a recess. A deep fit may offer more engagement but also make removal and inspection less convenient.
Evaluate the closure using the actual container and intended storage orientation. Pressure retention should be assessed separately wherever it is part of the application. Before reuse, clean the plug and mating opening with a method appropriate to the chosen material, then inspect the contact region for cuts or trapped particles. Replace damaged parts and review any persistent residue pattern, since it can reveal a portion of the closure that is difficult to reach during normal cleaning.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The silicone formulation must be selected for the intended contact conditions, including the food or liquid involved, temperature and duration of use. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
