Silicone rubber key covers provide a molded finger contact over an individual control. Their shape needs to suit the switch and enclosure beneath them, with sufficient clearance for movement and a supported stationary area. A cover should not be treated as mechanically suitable simply because it fits over the visible switch top.
Define the assembly height, aperture geometry, and locating features together. Check whether the cover changes the switch's available travel or remains under compression when the panel is closed. A single control can still require careful orientation if its underside is shaped differently from its visible face.
Material compliance and mechanical operation are separate requirements. Where RoHS compliance is required, the selected formulation and finished component need to meet the applicable project requirements for the supplied configuration. Evaluate the assembled control for activation and free return. During handling, protect thin flexible areas and keep the underside clean so that the fitted cover can move as designed after installation or service.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. your assembled clearance determines the cover design, including whether the panel leaves the button free to return. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
