A colored silicone rubber stopper can be custom molded for a closure where both geometry and surface condition matter. In an assembly involving silicone oil, assess how the oil contacts the stopper, the surrounding component and any surface that must remain clean. Color can identify the intended version, while the body dimensions establish its mechanical fit.
Evaluate retention in the condition the part will actually encounter. An oily contact surface may behave differently during insertion and removal from a dry one, so the closing arrangement should not depend on an untested assumption about friction. Keep the intended seating location clear and check that the stopper remains accessible after fitting.
Plan handling around nearby components that must be kept free of oil transfer. Use a cleaning method suitable for the finished silicone and the assembly, and avoid adding an arbitrary lubricant to make an incorrect fit easier. Before reuse, inspect the perimeter and remove debris that could become trapped in the oil film. A sound closure depends on clean contact, appropriate material and a correctly matched profile.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.
43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
