A rubber solid seal stopper fills an opening without a through passage. This custom molded part is intended for industrial and medical equipment component applications, with the dimensions and material selected for the particular assembly. A solid body can suit a port that must remain closed while leaving the surrounding housing design intact.
Identify what lies on both sides of the opening. The part may contact a process medium on its inner face while its outer surface encounters cleaning agents or handling. Those different exposures should be included in compound selection. For medical equipment, assess the finished component within the device's actual contact and cleaning conditions; material choice alone does not establish suitability for every medical use.
The seating geometry should prevent the stopper from entering farther than intended or interfering with nearby parts. Check engagement with the housing assembled, including any cover that limits access. During maintenance, inspect the body and perimeter for damage before refitting. Keep the contacting surfaces clean and avoid introducing residue that could alter the fit or contaminate the closed space.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The seating geometry should prevent the stopper from entering farther than intended or interfering with nearby parts. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
