Match the attachment and installation method
Rubber seal stoppers can be custom molded for a defined medical closure arrangement. The profile needs to match the receiving container or component, while the selected brominated butyl compound must suit the intended contact and processing conditions. The stopper is one part of a complete closure system.
Establish the exact role before choosing the geometry. A plug used to close an equipment opening has different requirements from a stopper in contact with a medicinal product. Where the application involves a container closure, dimensions, retention, contact compatibility, and any access through the stopper need to be considered together. A material name or medical description does not establish sterility or suitability for every clinical use.
The receiving neck or opening should support the stopper at the intended seating area. Assembly methods need to preserve that contact without cutting or distorting the rubber. Handling cleanliness, processing, and any sterilization requirements belong to the defined finished-product process and must be compatible with the selected compound. Inspect the stopper and mating feature for damage before assembly. The complete closure should be evaluated for the actual storage, handling, and use conditions, including any required integrity after processing or access. Do not treat a custom molded stopper as a ready-to-use sterile closure unless that specific finished configuration has been established.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The receiving neck or opening should support the stopper at the intended seating area. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
