Custom stopper hole plugs close designated openings with molded rubber components. When an assembly contains several hole sizes or profiles, each plug should be developed for its own retaining interface. A family of visually similar closures can still require different body diameters, head clearances or insertion depths.
Silicone and other rubber choices can be selected according to the environment at each opening. Dimensions, hardness and color can be customized, with any identification scheme kept consistent during assembly and service. Do not rely on color alone to establish the correct fit when versions are similar.
Fit each plug into its assigned opening and inspect the seating position relative to nearby features. If a closure sits unexpectedly high or low, compare the component and opening before applying more force. Keep removed plugs separated by configuration during maintenance. Before refitting, examine the hidden retaining surface for cuts and clear residue from the hole so the closure can reach the position it was designed to occupy.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A family of visually similar closures can still require different body diameters, head clearances or insertion depths. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
