Rubber crutch feet must be developed for the specific shaft, attachment and ground-contact requirements of that device. A foot used on furniture represents a different application, so similar outside dimensions do not make the two configurations interchangeable.
Identify the intended supported product first, then define its mating shaft geometry and the foot's required seating depth. Rubber material, hardness and shape can be customized, with the complete assembly evaluated for its own operating requirements. The component name does not establish support capacity or traction on any particular surface.
For replacement on a crutch, use the configuration designated for that device and follow its fitting and inspection instructions. Check that the shaft reaches its intended seat and that the foot remains retained. Do not conceal a damaged shaft or worn attachment by choosing a tighter-looking tip. During the device's routine inspection, examine the contact face and sidewall for wear or splitting, and address a loose or damaged foot before further use.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose hemispherical, tapered or recessed rubber feet and compare the mounting dimensions. All values are in millimeters. Use the drawing labels for each product; a dash marks a dimension not supplied in the source.
12 sizes for recessed rubber feet, including flat and rounded bases. The Base column identifies the lower-edge style. C is recess depth; the appearance rendering shows a rounded-base example.
