A cable access grommet with a semi-blind configuration should be selected by its actual center profile. The partially closed area and any intended passage need to match the wiring arrangement. The name alone does not determine where the material may be opened or how a cable should enter.
Review the center geometry together with the panel groove. Identify the approved cable path and the largest component that must cross it during assembly. Do not enlarge the opening by cutting an arbitrary section away, since that can change support around the cable and weaken the surrounding rubber.
Custom structure, dimensions and hardness can be developed for the intended access. Fit a sample to the panel and inspect the center after the cable is in position. Check that the material does not fold into the passage or pull the outer flange loose. During later wiring changes, retain the intended opening configuration and assess any larger lead before forcing it through. A damaged semi-blind section should be replaced with the correct profile rather than trimmed until the cable fits.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The partially closed area and any intended passage need to match the wiring arrangement. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
