A cable wire protective grommet cushions the route through a panel cutout. This range offers different dimensions, along with customizable structure, compound, hardness and color. The required passage should be based on the completed cable or wire group, including wrapping and any sleeve present at the crossing.
Loose wires measured before bundling can give a misleading impression of the space needed. Once tied or wrapped, the group may become less able to change shape and can bear harder against one part of the opening. Check the final bundle profile and its approach direction before choosing the inner clearance.
The outside mounting fit remains independent of that bundle size. The panel hole and thickness must agree with the retaining section so the grommet stays seated when wiring is positioned. Guide the group through without levering against the lip, then inspect the boundary after the harness supports are fastened. If more wires are added later, reassess the usable opening rather than compressing the enlarged bundle into the original part. Edge protection depends on keeping the rubber in place.
