Silicone rubber caps for tubing cover the exposed tube end and a length of its outside surface. The fit should account for the tube as finished, including its coating or surface texture. Custom dimensions, hardness and color can be chosen so the cap engages the available area without unnecessary strain.
Compare the capped section with the nominal tube size. Paint, a protective layer or a local seam may change the fit at that point. The cap needs enough engagement to remain positioned during the intended handling, while its closed end should not be forced hard against a sharp rim. Fit it evenly and inspect the mouth for a rolled section. When removing a cover from a coated tube, avoid twisting it aggressively if the surface beneath is easily damaged. Clean the internal cavity before reuse and check for adhered particles that could scratch the finish. If the cap no longer fits consistently, reassess the actual mating surface and replace the cover with the appropriate size.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.
43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
