Match the attachment and installation method
A motorcycle rubber damper with an M3 or M8 screw option needs to match the receiving connection at its intended mounting location. These thread sizes describe the fastening interface. The rubber body's size, shape, and compound remain separate choices that determine its fit and response within the assembly.
Compare the thread engagement length, bracket thickness, and seating position before installation. A screw that matches in diameter can still bottom out too early or leave too little engagement. The mounted body should occupy its intended space without being bent sideways to align the hardware.
The local vehicle environment guides material selection, including heat and contact with fluids. Check surrounding clearance after the supported component is in place and through its expected motion. This custom part should be evaluated for the specific support arrangement; the thread designation does not establish a load rating or motorcycle model compatibility. During maintenance, inspect the rubber-to-hardware junction and the adjacent bracket for changes in position or concentrated wear.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A screw that matches in diameter can still bottom out too early or leave too little engagement. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
157 sizes with a male stud at each end. Compare body diameter D, body height H, thread size and projecting stud length L.
