Screw-on rubber feet for cutting boards attach mechanically beneath the board, with a tapered body forming the contact point against the work surface. The mounting hole, foot height and rubber profile can be customized together. Material and hardness are chosen around the board, the fastening arrangement and its cleaning routine.
The screw connection needs to remain separate from the working contact face. Its head should sit in the intended recess with clearance from the countertop after the rubber has compressed in use. Check the screw length against the board thickness, including any pilot hole or insert, so the attachment does not project through the opposite face.
Foot placement also affects the board. Space the supports where the board can distribute ordinary working contact without leaving an unsupported corner that rocks. Tighten the fasteners sufficiently for the intended attachment, avoiding distortion that pulls the rubber into the recess or tilts the foot. A wider head or additional washer changes the space needed inside the mounting feature and should be included in the fit assessment.
Clean around the feet as well as across the board surface. Moisture and residue can remain near the screw recess or the junction with the board, so allow these areas to dry according to the board's care method. Inspect for loose fasteners and unevenly worn contact faces when the board begins to move differently during use.
