Match the attachment and installation method
A rubber seal stopper should enter a smooth opening that supports its contact band without cutting the surface. A burr or sharp shoulder encountered during insertion can damage the part before it reaches the final seat. The custom profile should match the opening depth and provide access for controlled removal afterward.
Select the compound for the actual medium, temperature, and cleaning conditions. Define whether the plug blanks an opening or performs a sealing duty that needs assessment under pressure or exposure. Retention and contact should be considered together in the complete connection.
Install in line with the opening and avoid forcing the stopper past an obstruction. Inspect the exposed edge for a folded region and keep the handling feature clear of nearby hardware. During service, examine any cut alongside the receiving surface before replacing the plug. Correcting an edge defect can be necessary to prevent the same damage, while fitting another stopper of the same approximate size without that correction leaves the cause in place.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A rubber seal stopper should enter a smooth opening that supports its contact band without cutting the surface. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
