Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
A rubber seal stopper offered in a 13.5 mm nominal configuration needs its actual contact dimensions matched to the opening. The Buna-N formulation should suit the medium, temperature, and cleaning exposure at that location. The nominal size does not describe every feature of the head or inserting profile, so selection should include the full part geometry.
Check the available depth and the access needed to grip the exposed portion. A stopper that can be pushed in easily may be difficult to retrieve once adjacent equipment is fitted. The receiving edge should be smooth enough to avoid cutting the rubber on insertion.
Seat in line with the opening without forcing the plug beyond its intended position. Evaluate sealing and retention on the complete connection where those duties are required. During servicing, inspect the contact band for nicks or a shape that no longer recovers. Correct damaged hardware or changed exposure before replacement rather than relying on a tighter fit to restore a closure whose original conditions no longer apply.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The nominal size does not describe every feature of the head or inserting profile, so selection should include the full part geometry. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
