Rubber end caps for tubing cover an open end with a custom molded cavity. A silicone version can be dimensioned for the tube's outside profile and the length available for engagement. The cap should reach a defined position without leaving its wall stretched unevenly over the receiving part.
Cut ends need preparation before fitting. Remove burrs and sharp edges, then account for any seam or surface change within the area that the cap will cover. A cap may fit at its mouth but stop early farther inside if the tube profile changes. Check the installed depth and the condition of the closed end rather than judging retention from initial insertion resistance.
Select material and hardness for the actual contact environment and removal frequency. Leave a suitable gripping area where the cap will be serviced. Clean the inside before refitting so loose debris is not trapped against the tube. If the end covering is also expected to contain fluid or serve as a loaded contact point, evaluate that role with the complete assembly and its intended conditions.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Compare inside diameter A with the outside of the part being covered. Check inside depth C and overall dimensions B and D for available clearance. These RSE references show a round cap with one closed end.
43 closed-end cap sizes. A is the inside diameter and C is the usable internal depth; B and D describe the outside envelope.

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
