Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Small seal stoppers provide a molded closure for compact receiving openings. A custom profile can establish the seating body and the portion available for handling, with the selected styrene-butadiene rubber compound matched to the intended application. The small scale does not remove the need to define the complete fit.
Measure the bore at its contact area and include any taper or step. The stopper should reach its intended depth without bottoming out too early or disappearing below the accessible surface. Choose the compound for the substances and temperature present, including incidental contact during cleaning or maintenance.
Clean the opening before fitting and avoid forcing the rubber over a damaged edge. Inspect the visible seat for tilting or uneven compression. If the part is removed regularly, use a handling method that preserves the small contact body rather than gripping it with a sharp tool. Check for cuts or permanent distortion before reuse, and replace a loose stopper with the matching geometry instead of pushing an unsuitable part deeper into the hole.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. A custom profile can establish the seating body and the portion available for handling, with the selected styrene-butadiene rubber compound matched to the intended application. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
