HNBR stoppers can be custom molded for compact openings with a defined closure profile. The 4.5 mm size designation needs to be associated with the intended feature in the full geometry. It should not be assumed to describe the bore, outer body, and seating depth at the same time.
Check the receiving component and identify the dimension that controls the fit. The stopper may also need a particular taper, head shape, or accessible removal area. The selected HNBR compound should suit the actual medium, temperature, and exposure duration rather than being chosen only by size.
Fit the part into a clean, smooth opening using handling that does not cut the small rubber body. Inspect the seating under adequate lighting and keep the closure within its intended depth. Color can identify a version, but replacements should preserve the complete dimensions and compound as well as appearance. Before reuse, examine the contact surface for damage or deformation and replace an unsuitable fit rather than forcing the stopper farther into the receiving feature.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The stopper may also need a particular taper, head shape, or accessible removal area. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
