Match the attachment and installation method
Custom small rubber plugs provide closures for compact openings where the body profile and handling area must fit within limited space. Silicone color can be selected for visibility or coordination with the product. The small exposed size should still leave a clear indication that the plug has reached its intended position.
At this scale, a modest change in head thickness or stem length can affect how easily a part is picked up and fitted. Consider the real assembly method, including the space around the opening and whether fingers or a dedicated fixture apply the insertion force. Avoid a design that requires the working edge to be pinched or stretched just to place the part.
The mating opening should be clean and finished before fitting. A particle that would be easy to notice on a large closure may occupy a meaningful portion of a small contact area. Keep different size variants organized, and preserve their material assignment during replacement. Inspect the stem after removal, especially where it joins the head, before returning a reusable part to its opening.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
