Butyl rubber hole plugs can cover medicinal-bottle openings during a defined handling stage. Establish whether the plug is a temporary dust closure or a component that remains in the finished package. The same external appearance should not blur those two roles.
A temporary closure needs a removal route that keeps material on its outer face away from the bottle mouth. Consider where the removed plug is placed and whether it is intended to be reused within the process. Protect its contacting section while it is off the bottle; setting it on an uncontrolled surface can transfer contamination at the next insertion.
For a plug retained in the finished package, select the butyl formulation and profile for the contents and the complete closing process. The bottle neck and any other closure components define that interface. Parts assigned to temporary handling should remain identifiable separately from those selected for final closure.
Inspect the plug before it enters the bottle, including edges that can be damaged during removal. Follow the established preparation and handling method for the finished medicinal product. A dust-cover function alone does not establish a plug's suitability for later contact with the contents.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. For a plug retained in the finished package, select the butyl formulation and profile for the contents and the complete closing process. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
