Custom silicone end caps for tubing cover the outside of an open tube and finish the exposed end. The fit can be adapted to the tube profile rather than relying on a generic cap that happens to have a similar opening. Cap depth, wall thickness, and the shape of the closed end all influence how the component sits on the tube.
Thin tubing deserves particular attention during fitting. A cap that requires excessive installation force can distort a flexible tube, while a shallow fit may leave little engagement after the assembly is handled. Establish the tube's finished outside dimensions and account for any seam, surface texture, or end treatment within the covered area. Remove sharp burrs before pushing the cap into place.
The cap should reach its intended position without being driven against the tube end with a pointed tool. If removal is part of routine use, leave room to grasp the cap without squeezing the tube itself. Choose the compound for the substances and temperatures encountered at this location. A protective end covering must be assessed separately if the assembly also expects it to contain fluid or internal pressure.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. Cap depth, wall thickness, and the shape of the closed end all influence how the component sits on the tube. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
