Match the attachment and installation method
Custom silicone rubber stopper caps can be developed for a food-contact closure application. The part should match the intended opening or neck profile and the way the finished container is closed. Its material configuration needs to be assessed for the actual contents and conditions of use.
Define which surfaces contact food and which encounter handling or cleaning substances. Contact duration and any heat treatment belong in the same selection process. A general food-grade description does not establish suitability for every food, processing method, or container arrangement. The complete product should be evaluated for its intended use.
The cap or stopper must also seat without a rolled edge or an area held under excessive stretch. Check the actual container and any adjoining closure hardware. The exposed portion should allow practical handling while keeping the contact surfaces protected.
During care, clean the part according to the finished product's method and inspect recesses where residue can remain. Replace a damaged or distorted closure with the specified profile. Changing thickness or material to make a loose fit feel tighter can alter the intended sealing and handling arrangement.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The part should match the intended opening or neck profile and the way the finished container is closed. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
