Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Custom SBR rubber seal stoppers can be developed in different sizes for a defined opening or closure interface. The body profile should match the receiving feature, while the exposed portion provides the intended seating stop and handling area. A plug fitted inside an opening and a cover fitted around an outside feature require different geometry.
Define the engagement depth and the surface that limits insertion. The stopper should reach that position without being forced against an internal component or distorted to follow a mismatched shape. The selected SBR formulation needs to suit the actual medium and local environment. The general seal description does not establish a pressure or temperature limit for every custom version.
Keep the receiving surface clean before fitting and inspect edges for damage. If the closure is removed regularly, its gripping area should remain usable without pulling at a thin sealing edge. Replace a distorted stopper with the intended profile rather than choosing a larger one to compensate for an unexplained change in retention.

FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
