A rubber bushing for cable use should fit the jacket in its installed condition. Compression from the surrounding opening can change the available passage, so checking a loose bushing with a cable does not capture the final contact. The custom silicone format allows the outer seat and inner passage to be considered together around the assembly.
Measure the finished panel or receiving component, then compare the cable diameter where it actually crosses that component. A sleeve, label, or change in jacket profile at this location may need extra consideration. Keep the cable bend outside the passage gentle enough that the sidewall is not continuously pulled against one edge.
Seat the bushing without trapping the retaining rim beneath the cable. Check that the jacket can take its intended route after nearby hardware is fitted. Avoid using the insert as an improvised clamp for a cable that needs separate support. When the cable is replaced, inspect the inner surface for a groove or cut that could concentrate contact against the new jacket.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Compression from the surrounding opening can change the available passage, so checking a loose bushing with a cable does not capture the final contact. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
