A silicone lock and lock rubber gasket needs to match the particular container's removable seal arrangement. The molded profile should sit in the lid channel without being stretched around the corners or left loose along a straight section. The closure design determines the intended contact with the container rim.
For food-related use, the selected silicone formulation and finished component must suit the actual contact and care conditions. A general food-grade description does not establish compatibility with every temperature treatment or cleaning process. The gasket also does not make different containers interchangeable merely because their locking mechanisms look similar.
When the seal is removed for cleaning, protect thin edges and keep the channel free from trapped residue before refitting. Restore its intended orientation and inspect the corners before closing the lid. Replace a ring that has become enlarged or torn rather than tucking excess material into the channel. A lid that can still be latched may nevertheless be pressing on a distorted seal instead of its intended contact profile.
