A round silicone gasket should leave its central opening clear while maintaining a supported sealing band around it. The inner edge can move during compression if the gasket is oversized, poorly located, or partly unsupported. Choose the whole face geometry rather than judging the fit from the outside diameter alone.
Define thickness and contact width around the finished mating surfaces. Select the formulation for the actual medium, temperature, and service cycle. Check shoulders or recesses that can prevent the gasket from resting flat before closure.
Position concentrically on clean surfaces and bring the joint together evenly. Inspect the inner edge where accessible to confirm it has not entered a passage. During maintenance, examine for a cut or raised contact mark near the opening and compare it with the hardware. Correcting that local feature may be necessary before replacement, while choosing a smaller center hole can increase distortion rather than restore the intended clearance.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
