A small silicone rubber hole plug is intended to close a suitably matched opening with a deformable molded profile. Flexibility can assist fitting, but useful durability depends on the selected formulation, geometry and way the part is handled. It does not establish an unlimited number of removal cycles.
Check that the insertion portion matches the opening without excessive stretch or compression. The head or grip area should remain accessible for the planned removal method, especially where the hole is recessed. Repeatedly catching a thin edge with a pointed tool can shorten the useful life of an otherwise correctly sized plug.
Keep the receiving edge smooth and seat the part without folding its profile. Any sealing requirement should be evaluated in the complete assembly rather than inferred from a tight fit. Inspect the plug when removed for cuts near the head and changes in its insertion shape. Replace a damaged part before refitting, since soft rubber can conceal a tear until the next removal places tension on it.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
