Match the attachment and installation method
A 10mm rubber grommet with a 25 mm size reference needs to be matched using its complete section and mating dimensions. The bore, outside flange and panel interface are separate dimensions. Assigning either number to the mounting hole without checking its purpose can produce the wrong cutout.
Compare the actual panel opening, thickness and cable envelope with the selected profile. Check clearance around the flange on the rear side of the panel as well as the visible front. If a connector is already fitted to the cable, include its size in the assembly check.
Custom dimensions, compound and hardness are available. Install the grommet in a deburred opening and inspect its retaining groove before routing the lead. Do not stretch an undersized passage to compensate for an unresolved dimension. Any waterproof requirement should be evaluated at both the panel and cable interfaces in the assembled design. For replacement, preserve the bore, flange dimensions and retaining groove together so the entry retains its intended cable clearance and panel fit.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Any waterproof requirement should be evaluated at both the panel and cable interfaces in the assembled design. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
