A 12mm rubber grommet is one of the size references in this listing, which also mentions 18 mm and 20 mm versions. Those numbers need to be tied to a specific dimension before products can be compared. Cable bore, panel hole and overall flange measurements describe different parts of the same grommet.
Begin with the opening in the finished panel and the thickness held by the mounting groove. Next, measure the cable covering that remains in the bore. The outside flange then needs enough clearance around the hole to sit flat without overlapping a bend, fastener or another entry.
ETOL can customize structure, dimensions, rubber material, hardness and color. A useful selection comparison keeps each measurement associated with its profile. Do not combine the mounting diameter from one candidate with the visible outer size of another simply because both share a nominal size reference.
Keep units consistent across that comparison, and distinguish a radius from a diameter where both are used to describe rounded features. Small entries leave less room for an unnoticed measurement mismatch.
Include assembly access in the comparison. A finished connector may need a larger temporary passage than the cable itself, or the grommet may need to be fitted before the connector is attached. Decide that sequence before choosing the bore.
During the fit check, seat the rubber around the whole opening and thread the actual cable assembly through it. Look again at the retaining lip afterward, since a tight passage can disturb the panel fit. Keep any cable support responsible for the lead's pulling load rather than using the grommet's flexibility to absorb it.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. Cable bore, panel hole and overall flange measurements describe different parts of the same grommet. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
