Product Overview

The 20mm rubber grommet range uses a 20 mm outside diameter across multiple inner openings and panel fits. This is useful when the available flange footprint is fixed but the cable clearance or sheet thickness varies. The individual part dimensions determine which version belongs in an assembly.

The table lists inner diameters of 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14 mm in different combinations. Panel hole diameters include 12, 14 and 16 mm, while the listed panel thicknesses run from 1 to 6 mm. Not every bore is paired with every hole size, so select an actual row rather than combining dimensions from separate entries.

For a compact passage, RG20-8-12-1 provides an 8 mm bore, a 12 mm panel hole fit and a 1 mm groove width for the panel. Its overall thickness is 4.6 mm. By comparison, RG20-14-16-6 has a 14 mm bore, fits a 16 mm panel hole and a 6 mm panel, and measures 11 mm overall. The identical outside diameter conceals substantial differences in the rubber section and available passage.

Choose a bore that accommodates the routed item without excessive pressure on its jacket. Then check groove width and mounting diameter against the finished panel. If the cable carries a large connector, account for how the grommet will be installed before the connector is in place.

Material, hardness and color can be customized. Inspect the fitted flange after threading the cable, because insertion force can partially pull a small grommet out of its groove. Keep the cable supported beyond the opening so its final bend does not continuously load one side of the protective lip.

Material options
Custom rubber compound and color, selected for the contact conditions and required geometry.
Hardness range
30–90 Shore A for rubber. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: Keep the cable supported beyond the opening so its final bend does not continuously load one side of the protective lip.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
