Anti-vibration rubber isolators use a compliant body within a custom mounting arrangement. The outside shape must fit the available space, but the assembly also needs room for the rubber to deform. A close-fitting enclosure can constrain that movement even when the loose mount fits comfortably inside it.
Check clearance around the working section in the installed condition. Nearby brackets and fasteners should act only where the design intends. Contact at an unplanned edge can concentrate strain or alter the behavior of the mount. The supported component needs its own clearance from the surrounding structure throughout the relevant operating motion.
Material and dimensions should be evaluated with the actual load and environment. Softness is not a substitute for that assessment. During maintenance, inspect the body and neighboring surfaces for rubbing marks or displacement. If the component has moved, check the retaining arrangement and external forces before replacing the rubber. Keeping the complete configuration consistent helps preserve the intended support position and working space.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The supported component needs its own clearance from the surrounding structure throughout the relevant operating motion. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a connection type, then compare body dimensions and metric threads. D, H and L are in millimeters; H excludes projecting studs. The M designation identifies the metric thread.
157 sizes with a male stud at each end. Compare body diameter D, body height H, thread size and projecting stud length L.
