A rubber anti vibration damper with a metal screw feature connects a compliant body to a matching structure. The screw should engage along the intended axis without drawing the rubber into an offset position. Correct alignment preserves the working space available for the body to move.
Check the receiving thread and mounting faces before fastening. The selected compound and profile must suit the actual exposure and movement, and any required vibration behavior needs evaluation in the complete assembly. The metal screw does not independently establish a supported load or damping value.
Inspect the finished arrangement at rest and through its relevant operating conditions. During maintenance, look for a shifted attachment, contact with nearby rigid edges or damage where the screw feature meets the rubber. If the receiving structure has moved, restore that geometry before fitting another damper. A different body size should not be used merely to bridge an offset that continues to place unintended strain on the compliant section.
