Auto grommets cushion wiring at openings within a vehicle assembly. The rubber separates the harness from the cut edge, and custom dimensions allow the retaining profile to suit the particular panel. EPDM and neoprene are alternative material options, with hardness and color also adjustable.
Start with the installed location. A protected interior panel, a body opening exposed to moisture and a region close to warm components create different demands on the compound. Choose for the actual surroundings and any substances that can reach the rubber during use or servicing.
The harness route should be established with nearby trim and hardware fitted. A grommet that sits correctly before trim installation may be pulled sideways when the harness is tucked into its final path. Provide room for the cable bundle without crushing its wrapping against the inner lip.
After assembly, inspect the accessible perimeter and confirm that the retaining section has stayed engaged. Recheck after harness repairs or accessory installation, particularly when additional wires use the same opening. Preserve enough inner clearance for the final bundle rather than relying on greater rubber stretch to accommodate every later change.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The rubber separates the harness from the cut edge, and custom dimensions allow the retaining profile to suit the particular panel. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
