A transparent silicone rubber grommet in a blanking configuration closes an unused panel opening. Its solid center covers the cutout, while the surrounding profile holds it in position. Custom dimensions allow the clear component to follow the panel without leaving an oversized visible flange.
Consider what sits behind the opening, since a transparent closure can reveal the internal background. Keep projecting parts clear of the center so they do not create pressure marks or stretch the membrane. The groove should match the panel thickness and allow the perimeter to seat naturally.
Handle the clear surfaces carefully during fitting. Remove loose particles from the cutout first and avoid using a sharp tool against the closed center. Check for a folded edge after the plug is installed. For later access, release the retaining region instead of piercing the membrane to pull it out. Inspect both sides before reuse. A scratched or torn center should be replaced when it no longer meets the intended closure or appearance, rather than hidden beneath another cover placed over it.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The groove should match the panel thickness and allow the perimeter to seat naturally. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
