Product Overview

A Brominated Butyl Rubber Plug is a custom closure whose formulation and geometry should be developed for the designated medical-related product system. The opening, contact medium and prescribed processing conditions determine the requirements that the finished component must meet.

Customize the retained profile, dimensions, hardness and color around the actual mating container or equipment feature. Brominated butyl identifies a material family; it does not by itself establish sterility, biocompatibility or suitability for a particular procedure. Evaluate the selected formulation and complete closure configuration within the intended product design.

Keep the specified version identified during production and handling so similar plugs are not exchanged between different systems. Inspect the contact surface before fitting and avoid methods that cut the rubber or introduce fragments. Follow the finished product's established processing and maintenance procedures. Replacements should preserve the approved material configuration and geometry together rather than relying on the appearance or nominal size of a general rubber stopper.

Material options
Butyl rubber compound options, customized alongside the profile and contact conditions.
Hardness selection
Solid rubber options: 30–90 Shore A. Inspect the contact surface before fitting and avoid methods that cut the rubber or introduce fragments.
Custom geometry
Customize the retained profile, dimensions, hardness and color around the actual mating container or equipment feature.
Fit evaluation
Evaluate the selected formulation and complete closure configuration within the intended product design.
Color & OEM
Custom colors; OEM identification positioned outside closure contact surfaces.

Stopper & Plug Size Catalog

Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.

RST Blind-Hole Plugs

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
