Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
A butyl rubber plug should be selected for the actual closure environment as well as the opening geometry. Butyl and silicone represent different material options, so a similar molded shape does not make the formulations interchangeable. The relevant fluid, surrounding conditions, and removal pattern help determine which configuration is suitable.
Define the surface where the plug will engage. A head diameter does not describe an inserted stem, and an entry taper does not establish the final working diameter by itself. Include the available depth and any shoulder or internal obstruction that could stop the closure before its contact area is seated.
Evaluate the fitted plug with the intended mating component and exposure. Do not infer a pressure rating or universal chemical resistance from the material name. During reuse, check the working section for swelling, cuts, or a lasting change in shape and consider whether the cause is mechanical fit or material exposure. Matching the old part's outside appearance alone will not resolve a formulation that is unsuitable for the application.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
