Oval rubber grommets can provide a custom closed interface for elongated openings. The outer profile follows the long sides and rounded ends, while an intact center serves the blanking role. The complete outline needs to match the receiving feature rather than only its overall length.
Check the short axis, end radii, and finished wall thickness as well. A mismatch at the rounded ends can leave the rubber folded even when the long sides look seated. The depth behind the panel must allow the molded profile to fit without pressure from another component.
Install the grommet progressively around the perimeter and inspect both ends carefully. Keep the closed center intact for an unused opening; a cable-entry version needs its own intended passage geometry. Select the compound for the actual environment and avoid using a sharp tool against the retaining lip. During service, inspect the oval seat for lifting or cuts and replace the part with the full matching shape rather than stretching a different profile into the opening.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The depth behind the panel must allow the molded profile to fit without pressure from another component. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a through-hole or blind-hole profile, then compare the dimensions for your panel and cable arrangement.

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
