Selected for the contact, temperature and movement
Define the visible surfaces and intended color
Develop holes, lips and walls around the mating parts
Match the attachment and installation method
Silicone seal plugs with a 24 mm internal-diameter designation need to be matched to the complete receiving arrangement. The internal measurement is one feature of the molded geometry, not a substitute for the outer dimensions, seating length, or wall profile. The intended closure role should determine how that feature is used.
Check the adjoining component at the actual contact area, including any taper or shoulder. The rubber should seat without being stretched far beyond its intended shape or stopped before the retaining area engages. Color can distinguish versions, but the dimensional and compound requirements must remain associated with the correct part.
Select the silicone compound for the medium, temperature, and cleaning conditions. Fit clean surfaces together and inspect the closure for uneven seating. The complete assembly determines the required sealing and retention behavior. Before reuse, examine the rubber for cuts or permanent deformation, and use the full matching profile for replacement rather than selecting solely by the 24 mm internal dimension or the visible color.
Photos illustrate structure or material appearance only. The internal measurement is one feature of the molded geometry, not a substitute for the outer dimensions, seating length, or wall profile. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
FIND THE RIGHT FIT
Choose a blind-hole, tapered, undercut or solid T-shaped profile, then compare its dimensions with the opening and available seating depth. Each profile has its own drawing and dimension meanings.
155 T-shaped plug sizes. Match shank diameter A, head diameter B, shank length C and head thickness D. E is the bottom blind-hole diameter; E = 0 indicates a solid shank.
