A conductive carbon pill keypad uses contact features on its underside to operate the matching circuit. For a replacement project, those features must be compared with the board layout rather than copied solely from the visible keys. An identical front outline can hide a different contact position or shape underneath.
Check the locating features and board contact centers together. Compare the resting clearance and the direction in which the pill reaches the board. A worn sample may provide useful layout information, but its stretched web or damaged surface should not become the target for a new molded part.
ETOL can customize the key dimensions, hardness, color and legends. Keep the required contact construction with the mechanical specification so an appearance change does not unintentionally alter the electronic interface.
Handle the underside without contaminating it and fit the sample into the reference housing. Test operation with the original board secured normally, including release after repeated inputs. Inspect an inconsistent key for poor location or housing interference before treating the contact itself as the cause. Do not scrape or coat the pill to make an incompatible replacement behave like the original.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
