A silicone button keypad with conductive pills needs each contact feature positioned for its corresponding circuit pattern. In a custom layout, the visible buttons may differ in size or shape while the required electrical contact area remains more localized underneath. The cap outline should not be used as the only reference for that hidden interface.
Define the molded locating features and board references together. A larger key needs assessment across its accessible face, since pressing near its edge can shift the contact differently from a centered press. The stationary sheet should remain supported without constraining the moving web or pulling on neighboring buttons.
Evaluate electrical response with the enclosure fully assembled. Check activation, release, and any unintended neighboring input during realistic sequences. Keep the conductive side clean during handling and avoid dragging it across board features when fitting. If a revision changes the button profile or housing clearance, reassess the contact behavior as well as the visible fit; those changes can alter how the pill reaches the circuit even when its nominal center stays the same.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. A conductive pill has a localized board contact beneath the key, so the cap outline alone does not define that interface. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
