Silicone prototype keypads allow a proposed button arrangement to be assessed against its intended enclosure and input mechanism. The useful evaluation goes beyond the visible pattern: locating features, key travel and contact registration need to work together. A loose prototype can feel different from the same geometry captured inside a housing.
Use a representative assembly when checking finger access and the separation between neighboring keys. The circuit contact positions and supporting surfaces should correspond to the planned design so an alignment issue is not mistaken for an unsuitable button profile. Any conductive features need their own evaluation in that arrangement.
The prototype should not be assumed to establish production tolerances, operating life or a final electrical specification. Record the geometry chosen for the finished configuration and assess it accordingly. During handling, keep thin web sections and contact surfaces undamaged so repeated assembly does not introduce an unrelated fault. Inspect seating whenever the enclosure is reopened before comparing the feel of successive design changes.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
