An anti-vibration rubber bumper needs a defined contact duty within the industrial assembly. A part that is only contacted at the end of a movement is loaded differently from one that continuously supports a component. The geometry and material should be selected around the actual role rather than the general bumper name.
Check the contact face, attachment and available deformation space. Repeated motion should meet the intended rubber area without dragging an edge across a sharp feature. If the component remains compressed between cycles, include that resting condition in the evaluation of the installed arrangement.
The molded part does not establish a particular impact capacity or vibration reduction on its own. Evaluate the completed machine for the required behavior. During servicing, inspect whether the original contact position has changed and whether the rubber returns sufficiently for the next cycle. Replace damaged parts using the intended profile, and correct any misalignment that has shifted loading away from the designed working face before returning the assembly to operation.
