Product Overview

Custom chair bumpers add rubber at a leg contact where protection is needed during normal furniture handling. The component can be developed as a foot or protective contact according to the chair design, with dimensions and color selected for the visible position. Its mounting fit should keep the rubber where contact actually occurs.

Observe how the chair is moved and where the leg approaches nearby furniture. A floor-contact foot and a bumper higher on the leg serve different areas. Choose the profile and location for the intended role instead of expecting one small contact face to cover every collision point.

Check that the part does not interfere with the chair's stance or any folding movement. The underlying leg should be smooth enough not to cut the rubber during fitting. After repositioning furniture, inspect for a rolled rim or displaced bumper. Clean grit from the contact surface and replace a worn part with the intended profile. A changed bumper thickness can alter the clearance around the chair even when its color and outside outline remain similar.

Material options
Custom rubber compound and color, selected for the contact conditions and required geometry.
Hardness range
30–90 Shore A for rubber. Assess the grade against this fit requirement: Check that the part does not interfere with the chair's stance or any folding movement.
Custom profile & fit
Choose the profile and location for the intended role instead of expecting one small contact face to cover every collision point.
Assembly considerations

Design check
After repositioning furniture, inspect for a rolled rim or displaced bumper.

Ordering this custom component

Can the shape be adjusted to my mating parts?

Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.

Which details should be agreed before tooling?

Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.

Can a sample help define the replacement?

A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.

How is the quotation for this part determined?

The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
