Product Overview
A closed blind grommet covers an unused panel opening with a continuous rubber center. This custom design is useful when an enclosure has an entry that is not needed in a particular configuration. The outer profile retains the part at the panel while the center closes the opening rather than providing an open cable passage.
On a larger insert, the relationship between the center and the retaining edge matters. The panel must support the perimeter evenly, and the available space behind it must accommodate the molded profile. Select the part using the hole dimensions and wall thickness, not the visible flange size alone.
Fit the edge fully around the opening and inspect for any section folded beneath the flange. Pressure on the center should not be used as a substitute for properly seating the perimeter. Keep the closure intact for its intended blanking role. If a cable is later introduced, use the appropriate cable-entry design so the new arrangement has a defined passage and the required retention at the panel.
