Auto rubber parts used as wire grommets provide a custom molded interface at a vehicle opening. The profile should follow the panel and wire route while allowing the intended assembly sequence. The part needs to fit before surrounding trim or hardware makes the entry difficult to access.
Check the opening dimensions and finished wall thickness, then consider how the harness reaches the passage. A fitted connector may require the grommet to be installed earlier in the wiring process. The final route also needs enough free length to avoid pulling the rubber away from its seat.
Remove burrs before fitting and inspect the retaining edges around the panel. Secure the harness supports before making the final seating check. Choose the compound for the actual substances and temperatures at that vehicle location. During service, inspect the entry after wiring or trim work and replace damaged rubber before the jacket meets an exposed edge. Use the complete matching profile for replacement rather than selecting by price or the visible face dimensions alone.
Photos illustrate structure or material only. The profile should follow the panel and wire route while allowing the intended assembly sequence. ETOL directly manufactures custom-shaped silicone and rubber parts to your requirements.
