A custom silicone washer provides an annular rubber interface whose dimensions should match its mating parts. For a food contact gasket application, the formulation and joint geometry need to be selected around the contents, processing conditions, and cleaning method. The washer's bore, outer edge, and thickness determine where it can be supported.
Establish whether the part acts primarily as a spacer, contact layer, or seal within the assembly. A sealing role requires a defined contact path and appropriate compression from the surrounding parts. The rubber should not be pinched into an unintended gap or stretched around a feature that differs from its intended bore.
Keep the mating faces clean before installation and consider how the joint will be opened for cleaning. Residue beneath an edge may remain hidden when the assembly looks clean from the outside. Inspect the washer after disassembly for damage and changes in shape. Replacement should preserve the exact formulation and dimensions used for the food contact location, rather than substituting a similar looking ring selected only by its outside diameter.

Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
