SBR rubber gaskets with grooves should remain identified by both their material and molded profile. A silicone washer may use a different compound and contact section, even if its visible outline resembles the gasket. Match the selected version to the actual joint, including the orientation of its recessed features.
Check the mating surfaces, groove engagement, and available compression. Choose the formulation for the medium, temperature, and cleaning exposure. Recesses should be accessible for inspection where trapped residue would affect the intended contact.
Install the grooved part in its designed orientation without stretching or flattening its features. Inspect for particles and folded ridges before closing the joint. During maintenance, compare damage with the corresponding mating feature and correct misalignment where necessary. Preserve the complete specification during replacement rather than selecting a flat washer solely because it covers the same opening, since removing the grooved profile changes the joint's original contact and locating arrangement.

Identify key dimensions, mating surfaces and quantity
Agree the compound and manufacturing approach
Review the fit and agreed requirements in the assembly
Manufacture and check against the approved requirements
Identify temperature, contact fluids and repeated movement.
Consider hardness together with wall thickness and support.
Check access, mating dimensions and the fitting sequence.
Yes. Show the receiving opening, contact surfaces and clearance limits. We can review the dimensions and retaining features around the intended fit.
Agree the critical dimensions, material, hardness, visible surfaces and sample requirements. Explain how the part is installed and which interfaces control its function.
A sample can help explain the structure. Compare it with the assembly because wear, swelling or compression may have changed its original dimensions.
The material, part geometry, tooling, quantity and finishing affect the quotation. Include the intended batch size and delivery destination when describing your requirements.
